Change the world

Would you like to be part of a growing community that is affecting people and changing lives

About Us

The Institute of Voluntary Sector Management is the professional membership body for management practitioners working in the voluntary sector and those responsible for corporate social responsibilities within the Private Sector of the Nigerian economy.  It also promises to provide the much needed platform for nurturing value-driven, young social entrepreneurs, creating volunteering and employment opportunities for the teeming youths and encouraging high net worth Nigerians to put structure to their giving, by setting up charitable foundations.

Vision

A  society where  everyone has access to volunteer opportunities of their own choice and where everyone  embraces volunteerism as a tool for social change.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support management practitioners and their community and voluntary sector organizations, through leadership, training, capacity building, representation, standards-setting and education, and we champion and promote working in the community and voluntary sector as a career choice.

Our programs ensure altruism gets the support it needs to make an impact

If you answer Yes to any of the above, we would like to hear from you. There is a wide range of ways and places you can volunteer: whether your interest is in helping Older people, disabled people, the environment and conservation, homeless people, prisoners’ support and welfare, community development and various self-help projects, Mentoring young people, Art and Culture, Hospital and health, emergency and disaster relief, political and civic engagement, etc., we are here to train, support and match you up with the appropriate body.
